Emergency Food Bank

The Food Bank provides residents in need of short-term assistance, access to a food hamper once per month per household.  These monthly hampers include staple items such as canned fruit and vegetables, canned meat, soup, pasta, bread, eggs and fresh produce when available. Residents requiring assistance can apply for the Food Bank Program at the Agassiz-Harrison Community Services office which is located at 7086 Cheam Avenue, Agassiz.  The Food Bank is open on Thursdays from 10:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-3:00pm. The Food Bank is funded by generous donations from the community and a Community Gaming Grant.

Christmas Hamper Program:

The Christmas Hamper Program is available to residents in need during the holiday season. The hampers consist of special holiday groceries and gifts for young children and teens. Applications for the Christmas Hamper Program are accepted in November of each year. The Christmas Hamper Program is funded by generous donations from the community and a Community Gaming Grant.

Client Registration FAQ 2017:

To register for the Christmas Hamper Program please register in person at the Agassiz-Harrison Community Services office, 7086 Cheam Ave. Agassiz, BC.

You will need to provide​:

1. Proof of address dated within the last 30 days

2. ID for all family members living in the household

 

DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS DECEMBER 8, 2017.

Monday- Friday 9:00-4:30 (Closed for lunch 12:00-1:00)
