Seniors Support

Agassiz-Harrison Community Services has a variety of programs to support seniors.

Appointments and drop-in services are available to seniors and their families looking for information and support to access local services and programs.

Seniors' Resource Services

Some of the services available are:

Better at Home

United Way’s Better at Home program helps BC’s older adults continue living independently in their own homes by providing simple, non-medical home support services.

To be eligible to receive Better at Home services you must be 65 years or older and live within the District of Kent or Village of Harrison Hot Springs.

Older adults who receive Better at Home services may pay a fee based on their income. Some services may be free.

Drive4U

The Drive4U program provides transportation for residents of all ages. Trips for medical appointments are the priority, but trips can be provided for shopping and social events when drivers are available.

Community members must be registered with the program and meet the eligibility guidelines to receive service.

Friendly Phone

The Friendly Phone program is a free service that provides a sense of companionship to seniors and disabled persons who are feeling isolated or lonely, or who may have limited social and family connections.
