The Service
Community members must be registered with the program and meet the eligibility guidelines in order to receive service.

• Volunteer drivers provide door to door service.
• We request at least 5 business days notice when booking an appointment.
• We return calls received after hours, on weekends, and statutory holidays on the next business day.
• Clients are charged a per kilometre fee as well as any parking fees.
• An invoice will be mailed out to clients if they have used the service in the previous month.
• Clients may pay their fees by cheque or by phone with a credit card or in the office with exact cash, debit card or credit card.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must live within the boundaries of the District of Kent and Harrison Hot Springs.
• Must be able to provide appointment information (address, date, and time).
• Must be able to transfer in and out of vehicle with minimal help.
• Must be capable of giving the driver clear directions to the destination.
• Must be ready and available for pick up at an accessible location and at the agreed upon time.
• Must be respectful of the driver’s time and reduce the drivers wait to a minimum.
• Must abide by instructions from the driver regarding safety and legal requirements.e.g. masks, hand sanitizer, seat belts.

The Drivers

Our drivers are volunteers who are dedicated to providing safe and caring service.

• Drivers are men and women who enjoy driving and interacting with people.
• Drivers are required to have a current criminal record check and drivers abstract on file.
• Drivers use their own vehicles to transport community members.
• Drivers are reimbursed for mileage.
