United Way's Better at Home program helps BC's older adults continue living independently in their own homes by providing simple, non-medical home support services.

Appointments and drop in services are available at Agassiz-Harrison Community Services Society at 7086 Cheam Ave. Agassiz, at no cost.

The program provides a sense of companionship to seniors and disabled persons living alone. Contact is made by phone on Wednesday and Friday afternoons from the Community Services office. The Friendly Phone Program is a free service provided by volunteers. To register for the Friendly Phone Program, please call 604-796-2585.
The Drive4U program provides transportation for community members who have registered with the program.
While trips for medical appointments are the priority, the program also provides trips for grocery shopping or social events when drivers are available.
