Youth Advocacy & Support (12-26yrs)

Youth workers offer one-to-one support, guidance and advocacy services to youth.​

 

Youth Drop-In (12-18yrs)

During the school year, youth can take part in recreational, social, educational, and creative activities, as well as access advocacy and support on a drop-in basis.​

  • Grades 7-9: Tuesday & Friday after school
  • Grades 10-12: Monday & Thursday after school.

 

Middle Years Program (7-12yrs) 

During the school year, our middle years worker runs workshops at local elementary schools. 

Kids Club Summer - During the summer months, there is are weekly out-trips on wednesday afternoons. Please contact Agassiz-Harrison Community Services to sign up for this program. 

 

Youth Suicide Prevention (12-18yrs)

Provides interventions & resources for youth who are experiencing suicide ideation and/or engaging in self-harm.

This program provides suicide risk assessment services, short-term one-on one counselling, short-term support for families of suicidal youth, referrals to other services and suicide prevention education and public awareness

 

Youth Justice Program (12-18yrs)

Bringing youth together, teaching them to respect & care for the community by providing role models & encourages change in youth lifestyle choices.

This program also coordinates community work opportunities for youth required to complete volunteer hours.

 

Youth Ambassadors Leadership Program (12-18yrs)

Youth may sign up for this program if they would like to take part in structured, youth-oriented volunteer/ leadership experiences.

 

Summer Youth Program (12-18yrs)

During the summer youth can attend drop-in services, extended outdoor activities, planned out-trips and camping trips in addition to accessing support and advocacy as needed.

 

Youth Lunch (12-18yrs)

During the school year youth can drop into the youth center and enjoy a free prepared lunch on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 11:15-11:50

 

Youth Wellness (12-26yrs) - VYC Wellness will be at the Agassiz Community Health Clinic until further notice – please call 604 703-2030 for services.​

Health professionals are available every Wednesday between 1:30pm and 4:30pm.

Youth can drop-in during this time to confidentially see professionals about medical and mental health issues
